I am Eyestr - a freelance web developer/designer who has been involved with personal computers for most of my adult life.

Over the past several years I have collected information on desktop/web apps and needed help keeping track of this stuff, for the simple fact that I didn't want to forget about them :(
That's when I decided to start archiving my resources in an organized manner, so that I could share this information with my friends and relatives.

That was the birth of Eyestr (although at the time I had no intention of ever publishing it for public viewing). Building this site was the perfect project for me, particularly where I "eat, drink and sleep" this stuff.

Eyestr is a community website which lists (what I think) are the greatest sites which have applications that most of us can't (or shouldn't) live without.
Particularly with the advent of "Web 2.0", the internet if just loaded with great stuff that is a must see. I never thought I would see the day when an internet app would mimic Photoshop in its features! That day has come and is here to stay.
